Elogiable, desde todo punto de vista, es la labor solidaria que desarrolla el Comité Cívico Argentino New York (CCANY) en bien de niños pobres en el norte de ese país sudamericano.

Con el entusiasmo e impulso de su dinámica presidenta, Lia Di Angelo, esa organización sin fines de lucro 501c3 contribuye con apoyo alimentario a los menores de zonas más empobrecidas como Dorilla y Corzuela (Chaco), Santiago del Estero y Gran Tucumán.

Son localidades de gran carencia en sectores como agua potable, viviendas dignas y empleo formal.
El Comité Cívico Argentino ejecuta acciones como la construcción de baños para niños parapléjicos y cuadripléjicos, provee agua directamente del aquifer, compra medicinas y construye pequeñas casas prefabricadas para aquellos que lo han perdido todo a causa de incendios u otros siniestros.
A los menores se les posibilita el acceso a juguetes, ropa, calzado, útiles escolares, mochilas, pelotas y uniformes deportivos.

Lia Di Angelo, personalmente, enseña diseño con flores a niños con habilidades especiales. Lo hace en su florería Westbury Floral Designs en Long Island. También distribuye juguetes, logrados en la Gala Anual del CCANY, para destinarlos a familias necesitadas en el Condado de Nassau durante la época Navideña.

Argentine Civic Committee Elogiable, from all points of view, is the solidarity work being carried out by the Argentine Civic Committee New York (CCANY) for poor children in the north of that South American country. With the enthusiasm and momentum of its president dynamic, Lia Di Angelo, this non-profit organization 501c3 contributes food support to the minors in more impoverished areas such as Dorilla and Corzuela (Chaco), Santiago del Estero and Gran Tucumán. They are highly lacking localities in sectors such as drinking water, decent housing and formal employment. The Argentine Civic Committee executes actions such as the construction of bathrooms for paraplegic children and quadriplegic children, provides water directly from the aquifer, buys medicines and builds small prefabricated houses for those who have lost everything because of fires or other disasters.

Minors are allowed to access toys, clothing, footwear, school supplies, backpacks, balls and sports uniforms. Lia Di Angelo personally teaches flower design to children with special skills. He does it in her Westbury Floral Designs flower store on Long Island. It also distributes toys, achieved at the CCANY Annual Gala, to help needy families in Nassau County at Christmas time
