Our Story
Comité Cívico Argentino was founded in 2019 by Lia Di Angelo, who transformed her personal tradition of collecting toys for her birthday into a powerful organization that now brings life-changing support to children across Latin America and Long Island.
What began as one woman’s desire to give back has grown into a dedicated volunteer-run nonprofit that feeds families, builds schools, funds critical medical care, and brings hope where it’s needed most.
Our Mission
To unite the Argentine and Hispanic community with a shared purpose: to support children living in poverty by providing food, education, healthcare, and emergency relief.
Our Vision
A world where every child — no matter where they are born — has food to eat, safe water to drink, access to education, and the chance to grow with dignity.
